OUR FOUNDER
Mitchell Mintz is the Founder and CEO of Quick & Dirty. Mitchell received his B.S. in Mathematics and B.A. in Psychology from Brooklyn College. He currently serves as Treasurer and Vice President of his cooperative board and is an advisor to some other new exciting start-ups. Mitchell is an ACE certified group fitness instructor who is energized by his trio of incredible females, marked by his loving wife, feisty Yorkshire Terrier, and fierce new baby girl.
Growing up Mitchell witnessed first-hand the trials and smiles of running a business. It was a constant grind for his grandparents and parents all of whom started and ran their own small businesses. At the age of 16, Mitchell joined the family tradition by co-founding and running TCBC Inc., a start-up dry-cleaning and laundry business. Once he graduated from Brooklyn College Mitchell chose to pursue a more traditional corporate career, garnering experience in different industries, most recently as a fixed-income bond trader.
Mitchell’s introduction to group fitness came while taking a boot-camp style class at the recommendation of a colleague. Before discovering classes, he would often cut workouts short or bypass them altogether. Mitchell quickly fell in love with classes not having to think about what exercises to do and knowing he wouldn’t dare leave until the class was done. The motivation from fellow participants, upbeat music, and great instructors all got him to work harder than he ever had before.
Yet, even as his fitness level improved, Mitchell would often tire and compromise his form around 20 minutes into high-intensity classes. He realized he wasn’t maximizing his time in these classes and time was an ongoing constraint. With a busy schedule and a demanding job, Mitchell was looking for a better way to commit to his health and fitness goals.
That’s when his entrepreneurial genes resurfaced. Passionate about the health and wellness market, Mitchell created Quick & Dirty to make workouts more efficient and achievable.
